I would explain to my clients that your skin is the width of three sheets of writing paper and using too deep or too aggressive of needles can cause damage such as scar tissue buildup. using smaller shorter needles will achieve amazing results without major discomfort and downtime.
The best way to continue to improve scarring, skin sagging, large pores, fine or deep lines, and texture issues is to be consistent with your treatments. One session once a year is not going to give you noticeable results. We lose collagen every month so by inducing collagen production with microneedling semi-monthly you can replace that lost collagen quickly to avoid rapid aging due to the harsh environment we live in.
